Cori Hill

Hi, I’m Cori Hill, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor (LMFT-S), and the founder of Chill Counseling. As a therapist, mentor, and clinical supervisor, I focus on helping individuals, couples, and families–and especially those with marginalized identities (e.g., BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, etc.) –navigate their journeys with compassion and authenticity. I’m all about co-creating spaces where people feel safe, seen, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges.

When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll probably find me dancing it out at DivaDance, which has been such a fun and freeing way to decompress and connect with myself and others. Dance has always been my favorite way to exercise and has been a big part of managing my mental and physical health throughout my life. Beyond that, I love spending quality time with my family and friends, playing games, and trying new restaurants.

About Chill Village

Chill Counseling, the practice I founded in 2020, is a space where I have the privilege of collaborating with incredible professionals who share my commitment to providing compassionate and accessible mental health services. Together, we aim to create meaningful change, offering support to individuals, couples, and families through a variety of evidence-based approaches tailored to meet diverse needs.

Chill Village, an extension of Chill Counseling, takes our mission a step further by focusing on uplifting organizations and individuals committed to community-driven work. While Chill Counseling specializes in therapy, Chill Village expands its reach by offering a range of services, including continuing education for mental health professionals, strategic consulting for organizations, and creative services like web design to help amplify the impact of community-focused initiatives.

For me, Chill Village represents a bridge between therapy and broader community support, ensuring that the values of equity, wellness, connection, growth, and empowerment extend beyond the counseling room.

First or Most Memorable DivaDance experience

Slaycation 2024 was unforgettable—so many amazing memories! Traveling with the incredible women I’ve grown so close to since joining was a highlight in itself. Getting to meet all the other DivaDance members from different markets and learn from new instructors was special. I loved seeing such a diverse group of people come together, all united by our shared passion. Different bodies, different stories, different hometowns—but the same love for dance and community.

This year’s Slaycation introduced the new DanceRx format which was also when I had my first conversation with Jami about my desire to contribute. Now, I’m beyond excited and honored to support this new chapter of growth for DivaDance.

3 Interesting Facts You’d Like To Share About Yourself

  1. I am a nerd, so I know a lot of random things, and I also know how to do a lot of random things. My friends and family will consult with me on anything from ethics to electrical appliances to business ideas. If I didn’t know how to do something, I would probably figure it out and enjoy learning along the way.
  2. I am adventurous and love to travel. The furthest distance I’ve traveled so far was to Sydney, Australia.
  3. “Chill” is actually a nickname based on my first initial and last name. My father, mother, and brother are all Chills.

How are you preparing to thrive in 2025?

I’m getting started now. Many of us set resolutions in the new year, but you can actually change any time you want, not just on Mondays, at 8 am, or on the first of the year. One of my goals is to engage in more service, consulting, and advocacy without stretching myself thin or burning myself out, so I’ve dropped one of my counseling days from my schedule. This will also ensure I have plenty of time for rest and vacations, something I admittedly slacked on this year. I figured it would be better for everyone involved if I showed up with a rested me rather than the rest of me.
